The funky diva sewing school aims to teach sewing to children aged 8 to 18 in a fun and informal way. Children are encouraged to use a variety of fabrics and to experiment with their own designs, whilst learning the basics of sewing and how to use a sewing machine.
The after-school clubs run each week during the term and allow children to build their confidence in using sewing machines over the term, creating their own items such as patchwork cushions and zippered pouches. We are very lucky at the school to be able to use the patterns in the Girl’s World book with kind permission from Jennifer Paganelli.
Holiday workshops focus on a making a single item. Workshops available include bag making as well as dress making for teens.
